Deeper Life High School Shines at Cybersmart Educators Initiative 1.0, Wins 2nd Runner-Up Award

Deeper Life High School once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence in technology and moral education as it emerged 2nd Runner-Up at the Cybersmart Educators Initiative 1.0, organized by Levi EduTech. The event, held at the prestigious Afe Babalola Hall, University of Lagos, celebrated Nigeria’s top digital educators and officially launched the Cybersmart Club, a national movement for digital morality and cybersecurity awareness in schools.

The competition, which trained 140 educators across Nigeria in the Fundamentals of Cybersecurity Practices in Education, culminated in a grand finale that brought together education stakeholders, policymakers, and ICT professionals.

Representing Deeper Life High School was Mr. Oluwaseun Oluwasanya, the National Supervisor for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at the school. He clinched the 2nd Place Award, winning ₦500,000, for his outstanding performance in integrating cybersecurity principles and moral instruction into the school’s robotics and AI learning framework.

The event also saw Deeper Life High School’s Mowe and Abeokuta campuses jointly recognized as 2nd Runners-up in the Inter-School Debate Competition, themed “Digital Morality and Cyber Ethics in the 21st Century Classroom.” This achievement underscored the school’s holistic commitment to raising digitally aware and ethically responsible students.

Speaking at the event, Pastor Lucky Isaiah, the Head of ICT, Deeper Life High School Nationwide, commended Levi EduTech for championing a movement that aligns technology with moral values. He noted that the Cybersmart Initiative complements Deeper Life High School’s long-standing vision of nurturing disciplined, God-fearing, and technologically sound students capable of shaping the nation’s digital future.

“Our philosophy at Deeper Life High School has always been to balance moral integrity with academic and technological excellence. What Levi EduTech is doing with Cybersmart resonates deeply with our values,” he said.

The highlight of the program was the launch of the Cybersmart Club, aimed at transforming schools into safe digital learning communities. The Club’s objectives include curbing cyberbullying, fostering innovation through responsible tech use, and building a generation of Cyber Ambassadors who champion digital ethics across Nigeria.

Other winners at the event included Mrs. Esther Ekanem of Valencia Junior Academy, Ibadan (Best Cybersmart Teacher, ₦1,000,000) and Mr. David Ipaye of Mabest Academy, Akure (3rd Place, ₦300,000).

With this remarkable achievement, Deeper Life High School continues to stand out as a national model for digital excellence and moral leadership — shaping not just future technologists, but responsible digital citizens grounded in integrity.
