Mabest Academy, Akure, has continued to make waves on the national stage, earning 3rd Place at the prestigious Cybersmart Educators Initiative (CEI) 1.0, organized by Levi EduTech at the University of Lagos.

The event, which brought together over 200 educators, government officials, and ICT professionals, celebrated the nation’s top digital educators and marked the official launch of the Cybersmart Club — a groundbreaking national movement promoting digital morality, cyber ethics, and safe technology use among students.

Representing Mabest Academy was Mr. David Ipaye, a dedicated and forward-thinking educator whose outstanding performance earned him the 3rd Place Award and a cash prize of ₦300,000. His approach to blending cybersecurity awareness with classroom instruction reflects Mabest Academy’s unwavering commitment to developing students who are not only technologically skilled but also morally grounded.

In his remarks, Mr. Ipaye appreciated Levi EduTech for creating a platform that empowers educators to shape the future of safe digital learning in Nigeria.

“This recognition is a reflection of Mabest Academy’s vision — to raise responsible digital citizens who use technology with wisdom, discipline, and creativity,” he stated. “Cybersmart Educators Initiative has opened a new chapter for teachers like me to bring cybersecurity and moral values into everyday learning.”

The Cybersmart Educators Initiative 1.0 trained 140 educators across Nigeria on Fundamentals of Cybersecurity Practices in Education, equipping them with the knowledge to guide students safely in the digital age. The event also featured an Inter-School Debate where young minds from across the nation discussed Digital Morality and Cyber Ethics in the 21st Century Classroom.

Other awardees included Mrs. Esther Ekanem of Valencia Junior Academy, Ibadan (Best Cybersmart Teacher, ₦1,000,000), and Mr. Oluwaseun Oluwasanya of Deeper Life High School, Mowe (2nd Place, ₦500,000).

The highlight of the day was the official launch of the Cybersmart Club, a student-focused initiative designed to curb cyberbullying, promote innovation through responsible tech use, and build a new generation of Cyber Ambassadors across Nigerian schools.

Mabest Academy’s success at the Cybersmart Educators Initiative reinforces its reputation as a leading institution committed to academic excellence, innovation, and moral discipline — preparing its learners for leadership in an increasingly digital world.
