Position Overview
The Zonal Cybersmart Coordinator (ZCC) serves as a regional leader within the Cybersmart Initiative (CI) structure.
Each ZCC coordinates, supervises, and supports the activities of Cybersmart Schools Awareness Officers (CSAOs) across schools within an assigned zone of a state.
The role is central to implementing cybersecurity awareness programs, overseeing teacher registration for the Cybersmart Educators Initiative, onboarding students into Cybersmart Clubs, and promoting a culture of safe and responsible digital engagement in nursery, primary, and secondary schools.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor Cybersmart Schools Awareness Officers (CSAOs) within the assigned zone.
Coordinate and monitor school outreach programs, digital safety campaigns, and cyber awareness activities.
Oversee the registration of teachers for the Cybersmart Educators Initiative within assigned schools.
Oversee the onboarding of students into Cybersmart Clubs and support related school-based club activities.
Ensure proper distribution and utilization of Cybersmart Initiative campaign materials (flyers, posters, forms, etc.).
Support schools in organizing Cyber Awareness Weeks, Digital Safety Days, and Cybersmart Club events.
Build strong relationships with school administrators, education boards, and community leaders to strengthen outreach.
Collect, review, and submit reports, registration data, and performance feedback from CSAOs to the State Coordination Team.
Represent the Cybersmart Initiative in zonal-level stakeholder meetings, trainings, and educational engagements.
Uphold the values, ethics, and operational standards of the Cybersmart Initiative in all zonal activities.
Identify and develop opportunities for growth, partnerships, and impact expansion within the assigned zone.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, ICT, Social Sciences, or other related fields.
Master’s Degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
Professional certifications in cybersecurity, digital literacy, or education are strongly desirable.
Proven leadership, coordination, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing abilities.
Demonstrated passion for digital safety, education, and youth development.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple school-level engagements effectively.
Must be disciplined, proactive, and committed to promoting responsible digital behavior in schools.
